Payson recently joined Bulow after a nine year stint with Hanger in Cincinnati, Ohio where he was a clinic manager and primary orthotist for the scoliosis clinic at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He is a former business owner and the current Vice President of the Ohio Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.

Payson Graduated cum laude from Lafayette College followed by a BS in Orthotics and Prosthetics from The University of Washington in 1994. "l was interested in a field that was hands-on, involved creative problem solving& and that offered tangible proof I was helping people and contributing positively to society. I was fortunate to be exposed to the field through a friend's family business and recognized immediately that it was a good fit."

Since entering the field, Payson has designed braces and prosthesis for people of all ages, addressing a wide variety of issues and needs including helmets, AFOS, partial foot prosthesis, back braces, Halo's, and elaborate cervical supports."l’ve learned many things over the years and continue to do so. One of the most important realizations

l've made is that people are far more complex than their conditions that require braces or prosthesis. You must really listen to your patients, become attuned to their wants as well as their needs, and, to the greatest extent possible, consider the whole person in the creative process. "Payson feels confident he has found a supportive environment at Bulow and is excited and honored to work with his patients. He and his wife, Aideen, have three children.
