Joey Raub, CP, wouldn’t trade his job with anyone else at Bulow Orthotic & Prosthetic Solutions.

“I get to challenge myself daily to reach personal goals that will benefit the patient,” he said about why he likes his position so much.  “I love the people that I get to help, and I also love my coworkers.”

One thing he finds especially rewarding is when a patient ambulates for the first time and then thanks him for helping them achieve their goal.

“It is especially rewarding when the patient isn’t expected to ambulate, and you know you set them up to do so, not only in fitting the prosthesis correctly, but also motivating them with words,” he said.

The most defining moments in Joey’s life are when he got married, became a father and graduated from Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center. His friends would describe him as passionate, driven and easy-going. He enjoys gardening in his spare time.
